YOU MAKE DRINKING COFFEE A SOCIAL THING. WE MAKE IT A SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE THING.
Some people ask us why we bother if we can’t achieve 100% compostability yet.
When we introduced OneCoffee in 2013 we had a lofty goal. To give the world a 100% compostable, organic, fair trade, single-serve coffee that tastes great. We’re very close to our goal. Our soft pods are now 99% compostable*, but we won’t rest until we reach 100%.
The only part of our soft pods that still isn’t compostable is the filter mesh. To date, we haven’t found a compostable version capable of withstanding the heat and pressure of our production process. But we’re not giving up.
Some people ask us why we bother if we can’t achieve 100% compostability yet. Well, because we know that change takes time. And one of the best ways to speed up change is to show manufacturers that there’s a demand for more compostable materials, and show local governments that there’s a demand for green bin programs to accept OneCoffee. With your help, we can make a difference. Together, we can reduce the garbage being generated by single-serve coffee.

IN A WAY, EVEN AFTER OUR COFFEE IS ROASTED IT’S STILL GREEN.
No pesticides, no GMOs, no worries.
We believe organic coffee is a healthier option for the people who drink it, the people who grow it and the future of our environment. All of our OneCoffee products are certified organic by the USDA. Which means the beans we choose are grown without the use of chemicals, non-natural fertilizers and genetically modified organisms. Organic farming methods protect natural resources, promote biodiversity and prevent soil erosion. No pesticides, no GMOs, no worries. This strict adherence to organic also means that we don’t offer any flavoured OneCoffee, because there’s a lack of certified organic flavourings. But we think you’ll agree that our coffees are tasty enough on their own. When you drink our organic OneCoffee products you’re helping take good care of our planet’s coffee fields, one cup at a time.
BETTER COFFEE FOR A BETTER LIFE. SOUNDS LIKE A FAIR EXCHANGE.
We believe that fair trade is the right way to do business.
Fair trade ensures that the coffee farmers get a taste of the profits too. Every cup of OneCoffee helps pay for homes, schools and jobs. All of our OneCoffee products are certified fair trade by Fairtrade International. This means that the farmers who grow the coffee beans receive fair compensation to cover the cost of sustainable production, plus social and economic premiums and more. We believe that fair trade is the right way to do business, for the coffee farmers and their families. It creates a more sustainable arrangement for them, their communities, and the coffee we all love.
